​FACILITIES/BARNS/STALLS
  • The Scott County Fairgrounds offers plenty of parking space to show -out of trailers . Generators are needed.
  • Scott County Arena & Activity Center (SCAAC) Indoor Arena- 2 indoor showing's, class line- up and holding area, spectator seating, concessions, restrooms.
  • The Scott County Fairgrounds is located on the N edge of Scott City, just off of US Hwy 83. Behind the SC Golf /Country Club
600 Fairground Rd.-Scott City, KS
  • Wash racks are available- 3 locations.  
  • Scales are available for use by exhibitors
  • Show Rings- located inside of the Scott County Indoor Arena and Activity Center (SCAAC).  2 rings inside- all species show in the SCAAC, 
  • RV /camper hook ups - electricity and water are available for nightly fee. 50 amp with water $30/night. 30 amp -limited water $25. Reserve camper space- Scott Co Fairgrounds
  • Restrooms and showers available in SCAAC.
  • There is a cattle tie space available in lean- to -barn on the north side of the SCAAC and tie outs - free of charge/ limited availability.  Generators are needed and must be placed outside.
  • NOTE!!! in 2025 we are NOT using the beef tie barn/community center for stalling .  (This is the building West of the Indoor Arena used for the Showdown).
  • If you tie to trailer or stall in trailer - bring a generator if you require electricity.
  • NO  pens for sheep, goats and pigs
  • All pigs be prepared to pen and show out-of-trailers
  • Use of the  covered "lean to" buildings attached to the show arena are available 
  • No animals can be stalled or fitted in "show ring" area. - NO grooming chutes or sheep/goat stand in the showring/ make up area.
  • We will offer horse stalls for rent during the show. Cattle , goats and sheep may be stalled and or groomed in stalls . Stalls are $25 per night- first come first served -we ARE NOT taking reservations or saving stalls - choose your stall when you arrive . There’s is limited electricity in the horse stall barn - do not plan to run blowers- generators are encouraged.- must be placed outside. You must use shavings in the horse stall barn. 
  • You must  rake out all stalls and place in pile on outside of the stall.
  •  We ARE NOT taking reservations for any  buildings or stalls. All first come basis.
  • You must supply your own bedding for all stalls - you may purchase shavings locally at Big R or Scott City Ace . Both are open Friday and Saturday until 8 pm  . On Sunday Big R is open 9 to 7 and Ace is open 1-6.
  • Again !Generators  needed- must be outside.
  • Please pace all trash in barrels, dumpster, trash trailer r or bags.
PARKING
All SC Showdown trailer parking MUST be in designated areas. Obey any posted signage. 
East  of the outdoor rodeo arena ( do not park inside of arena)
North, South, East  of the SCAAC ( Showdown arena)
Grassy area  near Cattle Tie outs, Wash rack and Scale, along chain link fence north of SCAAC and Community Center
NO parking around the Scott County Community Center
